Sunergy Heating Technology

Alternative forms of energy are vital to sustain the quality of life that modern society has become accustomed to without causing problems associated with global warming. The technology will reduce the expenditure on energy by between 50% and 70%, yet provide continuous 24 hour heating or cooling every day of the year.

The technology is based upon the use of a liquid-filled roof or wall cladding in thermal contact with the atmosphere. Unlike passive solar collection panels which require direct sunlight and which aim to collect 'high grade' heat, the Ambient™ system is able to collect large quantities of 'low grade heat'. It is able to achieve this in both a passive solar manner as well as acting in an active way when direct solar radiation is not available. When in its' active mode the Sunergy roofing or wall cladding system works on temperature differentials which exist both day and night and even when the ambient air temperatures are well below freezing. Heat energy originating from the atmosphere is upgraded by a heat-pump, when the conditions allow, for the provision of heating and hot water. The building effectively imports heat, working in the reverse direction to a refrigerator. Ambient™ represents a significant contribution to efficiency. It is estimated, for example, that the cost of providing central heating and hot water for a family home in the UK will be little more than £130 per year based upon average current prices.
